Ingredients
-
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
-
½ cup mini chocolate chips
-
½ cup prepared chocolate chip cookie dough (or homemade)
-
1 egg (for egg wash)
-
1 tbsp sugar (for sprinkling)
Optional:
-
Pinch of sea salt
-
Cinnamon sugar for extra twist
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
Unfold the puff pastry sheet onto a lightly floured surface. Gently roll it to smooth out creases.
Spread a thin layer of cookie dough over half of the pastry. Sprinkle evenly with mini chocolate chips.
Fold the pastry in half to cover the filling. Press gently. Use a knife or pizza cutter to slice into 1-inch strips.
Take each strip and gently twist it several times. Lay each twist on the prepared baking sheet.
Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with sugar (and sea salt if desired).
Bake for 15–18 minutes or until golden brown and puffed. Let cool slightly before serving.
